Developed considering the patient’s needs and the MCSA recommendations, it makes easy to implant, manage and learn it.
Designed to be used in the widest range of patients possible, allowing a greater flexibility when implanting any VAD existing in the market.
Created to display instantaneously useful information to help obtain a clear clinical image of the patient’s condition.

The integrated flow inlet cannula of the HVAD® pump allows to use it in small patients, while it is potent enough for large or even obese patients.
Pericardial placement ensures a stable position in the left ventricle, even when body and/or ventricular changes may occur after the implant.

The heart of the HVAD pump is a hybrid system which includes an impeller suspended magnetically and hydrodynamically. It is the only movable part of the HVAD pump.
As soon as the pump is powered electrically, the rotor starts to turn, with no mechanical contact point with the pump, ensuring a system free of contacts or friction.
Removal of the mechanical pads allows a greater reliability of the device in the long term.

Each patient is unique both in terms of anatomy and physiology. This requires that surgeons evaluate and adjust the surgical approach to obtain the best outcomes.
The new design of the HVAD® pump is adjusted to the different needs of patients, providing a highly versatile surgical approach, in a three-step procedure performed in the pericardial sac.:
The smart design of the HVAD® system makes it easy to learn and manage both for the patient and for the supporting medical team.
The simple, smart interface and the diagnostic tools provide the medical team with all essential information they may need to manage their patients in the most effective way.
For the patients, the HVAD® system offers:
