PENUMBRA INTRACRANIAL THROMBUS ASPIRATION SYSTEM

Penumbra System is a system designed specifically for mechanical thrombectomy by vacuum aspiration with CE marking. It is indicated for use in revascularisation of occlusions of large intracranial vessels in patients suffering an acute ischaemic stroke. It includes high-aspiration catheters, 3D revascularisation device, Engine vacuum aspiration pump and its accessories.
The last generation of PENUMBRA SYSTEM includes JET7 and JETD reperfusion catheters with a high and more effective aspiration capacity for proximal and distal lesions thanks to the use of the new ENGINE pump with aspiration capacity of -29.2 inHg and that contains a thrombus retention filter.

Penumbra System is a system specifically designed for CE-marked vacuum-assisted mechanical thrombectomy. It is indicated for use in the revascularization of intracranial large vessel occlusions in patients who have suffered an acute ischemic stroke. It includes high-suction catheters, the 3D Revascularization Device™, the ENGINE™ vacuum aspiration pump, and accessories.

 

The RED™ family of reperfusion devices for thrombectomy are the evolution of the JET and ACE devices used with the Penumbra System® to perform endovascular mechanical thrombectomy in all types of locations, as they come in a wide range of sizes. They are designed to remove clots and restore blood flow to the neurovasculature in patients with acute ischemic stroke through direct and continuous aspiration using the Penumbra ENGINE™ pump, which has an aspiration capacity of -29.2inHg and features a clot retention filter.
